Q. What is the difference between the fixed and removable ball head tow bars?
A. As simple as it sounds, removable ball head tow bars have specially designed quick fit and quick release ball heads so that you do not have the ball head protruding from the rear of the vehicle whereas the fixed ball heads are not designed to be removed once fitted or could be welded solidly to the bar.
Q. What does the tow bar come supplied with?
A. The tow bar is supplied with all the necessary nuts, bolts, washers and spacers that are needed and are specific to what the vehicle that the tow bar is to be fitted to requires.
Q. How are the tow bars fitted to the vehicle?
A. Nowadays, tow bars are fitted to particular dedicated mounting points on the vehicle and there is no longer a need to drill the floor to fit the tow bar.
Q. How long does it take to fit a tow bar?
A. It depends on the particular vehicle that the tow bar is to be fitted to, however typical fitting times average at between 1 and 2 hours in total.
Q. Do I need to cut the bumper?
A. There is no simple answer to this, some vehicles do not require the bumper to be cut, others require a cut to the bumper that is not visible from the back of the vehicle and finally there are other vehicles where the bumper has to be cut and the cut will be visible from the rear.
